Pune: Water supply to be disconnected in several areas on Thursday - check affected locations

Pune: Several parts of Pune will be facing disruptions in the water supply on September 22 due to maintenance and other civil works in the municipal water centres. the authorities informed. Water supply to various locations in Peth areas, Deccan, Shivajinagar, Sahakarnagar, parts of Kondhwa, Kalas, Tingrenagar, and Mhaske Vasti will be shut down on Thursday. The supply will be restored in these areas late Friday with low pressure and the authorities asked the citizens to take note of the advisory and plan accordingly.

The water supply to these areas is entirely dependent on the municipal water centres which are undergoing maintenance. The tanks will be closed for the entire day because of the urgent electrical, pumping and structural maintenance works at Parvati and Chikhali stations, Superintending Engineer of the Water Supply Department Nandkishore Jagtap said.

The areas facing water supply disconnection on Thursday are:

Areas under Parvati MLR Tank: Guruwar Peth, Budhwar Peth, Kashewadi, Quartergate Area, Ganj Peth, Bhawani Peth, Nana Peth, Lohianagar, Somwar Peth, Arun Vaidya Stadium Area, Ghorpade Peth etc.

Areas under HLR Tank: Sahakarnagar, Padmavati, Bibvewadi, parts of Mukund Nagar, Maharshinagar, Gangadham, Chintamani Nagar Phase 1 & 2 Lake Town, Shivtejnagar, Upper Indiranagar, Lower Indiranagar, Shelke Vasti, Mahesh Society, Bibvewadi Township, Premnagar, Ambedkar Nagar Dice Plot, Dhole Mala, Salisbury Park, Giridhar Bhavan Chowk, Thackeray Vasahat, Parvati Gavthan, Bhagyodayanagar, Shivnerinagar, Mithanagar, Kumar Prithvi, S.No. 42 Kondhwa Khurd, Saibabanagar, etc.

Areas under Parvati LLR Tank: All Pethas in the City, Dattawadi Area, Rajendranagar, Lokmanyanagar, Deccan Area, Shivajinagar Area, Swargate Area.

Areas under Chikhli Pumping: Sanjay Park, Barmashell Society, Pune Airport, Rajiv Gandhinagar North and South, Yamunanagar, Ganeshnagar (Bopkhel), Kalas, Mhaske Wasti, Tingrenagar Galli No.1 to 6, Ektanagar Slum, Siddheshwar, Kumar Samriddhi, Pre Park Society, Parashar Society, Thube Plateau Vasti, Dinkar Plateau Vasti etc.

The authorities informed that the supply will be restored as soon as the repair works get over.
