"Just checking are ok @WasimJaffer14," the former England skipper aimed a dig at Jaffer on the microblogging site. Taking cognisance of Vaughan's friendly banter, Jaffer reminded the Englishman that England have not won the Test series against India. "In all the excitement. You forgot to write 'you'. Talking about the recently concluded match between India and England, Stokes and Co. registered the seven-wicket win over the Rohit Sharma-less side to level the series 2-2 at Edgbaston. India have been docked two WTC points for maintaining a slow over-rate in the 5th Test of the 2021 series. The Indian team was also fined 40% of their match fees. Pace ace Jasprit Bumrah, who captained India in the absence of skipper Rohit, has pleaded guilty to the offence.
According to a report filed by a news agency, the charges were levelled by on-field umpires Aleem Dar and Richard Kettleborough, third umpire Marais Erasmus and fourth umpire Alex Wharf. Team India is now behind Australia (84 points and 77.78 percentage points), South Africa (60 points, 71.43 percentage points) and Pakistan (44 points and 52.38 percentage points) in the latest ICC World Test Championship standings.
