Prime Minister Narendra Modi penned a heartfelt blog to pay a tribute to his mother Heeraben Modi, who turned a year older on Saturday (June 18). PM Modi visited his mother in Gandhinagar on the occasion of her birthday and shared a long note for her, reminiscing his memories with her.
The 71-year-old expressed his gratitude towards his mother and said that she played a key role in shaping his personality and mind. Describing her as a 'simple but extraordinary' woman, he said that she faced several hardships in life but continued to stay resilient.
"Maa…this isn’t a mere word but it captures a range of emotions. Today, 18th June is the day my Mother Heeraba enters her 100th year. On this special day, I have penned a few thoughts expressing joy and gratitude," PM Modi tweeted.
Reacting to PM Modi's tweet for his mother, Karan Johar called it 'special and emotional'. The Bollywood filmmaker said that it was a 'blessing to have mothers hold the hands of their children'.
"It’s a blessing to have our mothers holding our hands and blessing us through the journey of our lives. This is so so special and emotional," KJo wrote on the micro-blogging site.

On the professional front, Karan Johar is currently busy with the shoot of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The film starring Ranveer Singh and Ali Bhatt will hit the silver screens in February 2023. After the release of RARKPK, KJo will commence the shoot of an action movie, which he announced on his birthday.
Karan is also gearing up for the release of Jugjugg Jeeyo, which stars Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani in lead roles. The flick co-starring Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and Maniesh Paul will arrive in the cinema halls on June 24, 2022.
